We’re taking direct action to Stop Line 3, will you join us?
 
On Wednesday, August 25th, we’re turning up to the Minnesota State Capitol to call out Tim Walz for ramming Line 3 through our state – and show we need Biden to step in.

Enbridge is racing to complete Line 3, aiming to finish construction this month, and to have oil flowing by the end of the year. On August 25, water protectors will converge en masse on the Minnesota State Capitol and engage in mass civil disobedience, demanding the immediate cancellation of Line 3 from our elected officials. Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan have completely failed us. They have had years to take action but have sat back – and worse, directed state agencies to expedite construction. Given their unwillingness to stop the pipeline, we need President Biden to step in and direct the Army Corps to cancel this pipeline’s permits. This pipeline directly violates treaties, preventing Anishinaabe communities from exercising their guaranteed rights to hunt, fish and engage in cultural practices. It’s also a climate disaster and a carbon bomb, threatening to release as much greenhouse gas emissions as 50 coal plants – every year for decades. We will greet a brave group of walkers who will travel on foot from the White Earth Nation to St. Paul. We will hold the space in the Capitol for as long as it takes. Come supplied to stay for as long as you can. Bring a sleeping bag.
