Stand with us in solidarity to advocate for the protection of the Standing Rock (SRST) and Cheyenne River Sioux Tribes (CRST).
Lawmakers continue to ignore the SRST and CRST’s Free, Prior, and Informed Consent, but the Tribes’ vital contribution in the decision-making process is essential. Let’s amplify the Tribes’ choice and push for the immediate closure and capping of the pipeline at the crossing, revoking any permits issued. President Biden has the power to make this happen! This is a critical moment for mass mobilization on fossil fuels that could move Biden.
Clean water, fresh air, good jobs, and a thriving planet are things we all want for ourselves and future generations. Unfortunately, President Biden seems more interested in protecting fossil fuel profits than prioritizing the well-being of people. From approving risky oil drilling projects to expanding oil and gas operations, his actions speak louder than words. This is our year to pressure him to choose the People over Pipelines. It’s time to shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Thousands of people will be hitting the streets in solidarity with Standing Rock, demanding President Biden to take bold action to #ShutdownDAPL. Here are the event details:
This is not just another protest. This is a powerful movement for change, and your presence will make a resounding impact. Together, we will send a clear message to our U.S. leaders, especially President Biden, that it’s time to put an end to the Dakota Access Pipeline.
In 2016, you showed unwavering support for Standing Rock as they bravely confronted the Dakota Access Pipeline and Energy Transfer Partners, the Police, and armed guards. It was a significant moment when Tribes from across the country, United States Veterans, celebrities, students, and allies, all united to back Standing Rock. Now, Standing Rock is once again reaching out to you, urging you to join forces with us. We need your help as we demand the Army Corp of Engineers (ACoE) listen to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe (SRST) and Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) to choose the People over Pipelines in their upcoming deliberation on the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)! Join us and make a positive impact.
This June in Washington D.C., a powerful coalition of Standing Rock Elders, Youth, Grassroots organizations, and Indigenous organizations will unite with allies to engage in crucial discussions with Congress and the current administration on the EIS deliberation.
The Army Corp of Engineers needs to make the right choice and choose Option 2, and close down the Dakota Access Pipeline, seal it, and most importantly, revoke the permit at Lake Oahe.
This gathering aims to bring attention to the pressing issues surrounding the project and to advocate for the protection of sacred lands, water sources, and Indigenous rights.
By coming together in solidarity, these diverse groups hope to amplify their voices and influence policymakers to make decisions that prioritize environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and social justice.
