This is an email blast from the People Vs Fossil Fuels Coalition, of which IEN is a core member!
From his first day in office, the People vs. Fossil Fuels coalition has called for President Biden to take strong executive action to declare a climate emergency and stop approving fossil fuel leases, projects, and exports. With Biden’s recent promise to step up executive actions on climate, we are closer than ever before to the bold action we need. But it won’t happen if we sit and wait – we have to get into the streets and demand it!
JOIN US for a National Day of Action on August 2nd to demand that Biden declare a climate emergency and reject fossil fuel projects. Actions can be big or small – our power comes from taking action together and being visible! For guidance on tactics and messaging, check out our Action Toolkit.
> PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM if you or your group can host an action on August 2nd, or if you’re considering it → https://forms.gle/ZJGkBebqiAfKK7L19. We’ll follow up to offer support and resources from the coalition.
Not sure you’ll be able to host an action? You can still help us mobilize pressure on the White House by using and sharing this online action toolkit! It includes a Climate Emergency petition, call-in script, and sample social posts for sharing.
We hope you can join us at this critical moment for executive climate action. Reach out to MMorabito@biologicaldiversity.org if you have any questions.
See you in the streets!
