I am honored to share this powerful video with you that highlights the journey of an International Indigenous Women’s delegation organized by MADRE and the Indigenous Environmental Network here in Fort Berthold, North Dakota.
As a part of the delegation, I hosted Indigenous women from Colombia, Guatemala, Israel, Kenya, Nepal, and Nicaragua who traveled to Fort Berthold to see firsthand the damage that extractive industries, like oil and gas mega-projects, forced on Indigenous communities like mine — and to talk about solutions.
