Description
MADRE and Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung – New York Office are co-sponsoring a side event that will bring together Indigenous activists for an engaging discussion on the intersection of environmental protection and peacebuilding within their communities. Indigenous women and girl climate defender leaders have long been at the forefront of the fight to protect Mother Earth and promote the sustainable management, use and control of natural resources. We will seek to answer the question of how environmental concerns have impacted Indigenous communities and their efforts to build peace.
