“Sunday, May 3rd, MMIW 218 hosted the 3rd Bemidji National MMIWR Awareness Day at the Sanford Center.

The day started with a march, followed by a conference, and ended with a community giveaway. The event estimated 200 attendees.

Although May 5th is National MMIWR Awareness Day, the community came together to honor, support, and call to action for families affected by MMIWR. Honoring our loved ones matters every day, and providing support to families is a critical need in our communities.”
