Dear Relatives,

On April 1st frontline Indigenous youth and organizers living in the Dakota Access and Line 3 impacted communities will give the fossil fuel snake back to the elected officials in D.C., demanding Joe Biden #BuildBackFossilFree. These fossil fuel infrastructure projects violate our treaties and were built without our consent. We demand Biden #ShutdownDAPL and #StopLine3.

Five years ago on April 1st, the Sacred Stone Camp was built-in resistance to the Dakota Access pipeline. Despite a movement that brought thousands of people to #StandwithStandingRock Obama and Biden did not act and the Dakota Access pipeline was still forced through the Standing Rock community snaking through treaty territory and sacred sites.

The same fight is happening now with tribal nations fighting Line 3 and we will not stop until we ensure our land, sky, water, and bodies are protected from the devastation that comes with fossil fuel extraction and  its infrastructure.

We’re taking the frontlines to D.C. in a Covid safe way and have several opportunities for you to throw down with us from the safety of your own home.

🔹You can also help flood the White House with calls on April 1st.

Dial 888-724-8946 to connect to the White House switchboard or the Public Liaison Office. Here’s a sample script:

“My name is ____, I live in _____.  Because the public comment line is closed, I’m calling to urge President Biden to revoke permits for oil and gas pipelines like Dakota Access and Line 3, and stop approving all new fossil fuel projects. If the President is serious about addressing the climate crisis, he must keep fossil fuels in the ground and invest in the communities that have borne the brunt of pollution and climate disaster.”

Together, we can mitigate the climate chaos our communities are facing and ensure a future that protects our life sources needed now and for the next seven generations.
