New DVD Explains “Communities and Environmental Laws”
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released a new DVD,
"Communities and Environmental Laws." The disk contains a
20-minute video that highlights how communities can use environmental
laws to protect public health and safety. A copy of the Environmental Law
Institute’s publication, "A Citizen’s Guide to Using Federal
Environmental Laws to Secure Environmental Justice" is also included

The Secretariat of the United Nations Commission on Biological Diversity (CBD) has published a glossy brochure containing the Akwe Kon guidelines on Cultural, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments relating to Indigenous Peoples and local communities (one of the major outcomes of the 8j Programme of Work).
